What does travel have to do with a worship guitar site? Not much, unless you’re traveling to Spain to check out some of their exquisite guitars. I did that. I went to Spain a few years ago and played some incredible guitars made by Felix Manzanero.
On the trip, I brought a Martin Backpacker guitar. What I love about this instrument is that it only weighs 2 pounds and easily fits on the overhead of an airplane. I’ve taken my Martin Backpacker on several trips over the years.
King David didn’t play the guitar, but if he had one I bet he would have written some beautiful worship songs with it!
Carlton and Sharon Jones are helping modern day ‘Davids’ acquire guitars in obscure places around the world. They started a ministry that gives guitars to missionaries – guitarministries.com.
They have been hosting a number of awesome guitar concerts in Baton Rouge, LA and using the profits to buy guitars to give to missionaries. They also own a guitar store in Baton Rouge – guitardreamers.com.

Why does Jesus keep telling us to “Fear Not?” He tells us because we need to hear it. We have pretty amazing minds that can create vivid pictures of whatever we focus on.
If you watch and listen to the news, most of what we see or hear is pretty dismal. There are wars, famines, fires and threats of all sorts.
We have real enemies who would love to destroy us. We think our enemies are terrorist groups or specific people, but if you pull the veil back, it’s orchestrated by demonic powers.

We’ll be at the ACSI Anaheim Convention Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19 & 20, 2007. This is for Christian Schools. It’s the Association of Christian Schools International. We’ll have a booth there and I’m giving a seminar on ‘How To Teach a Worship Guitar Class.’
