I just finished reading the book of Ruth again. What a wonderful woman! Ruth had such a commitment to Naomi, her mother-in-law. She was loyal, a hard worker and humble. At the end of the book, the woman of Bethlehem told Naomi:
“May he (the son of Ruth & Boaz) be to you a restorer of your old age, for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, and is better to you than seven sons, has born him.”
The whole town saw Ruth’s love and beautiful traits!
Jesus tells us in Scripture that all men will know we are his disciples if we love one another. Who is the originator of Love? God. For God so LOVED the world he gave his one and only Son.
Can anything separate you from that love? No. There is nothing in this world that could ever separate you from the love of God. Nothing. When we receive Christ as our Lord, we are in God’s Family and recipients of His Love.
Today, in the US, it is Valentine’s Day. It’s a day to express love to people in your life. I want to wish you a very Happy Valentine’s Day. You are deeply loved and special to the Body of Christ.
