‘Be Thou My Vision’ is a beautiful worship song that has been enjoyed by Christians for centuries. The original melody is from Ireland in the 4th century. A woman in the Newsletter list, from Hawaii, wanted to learn to play it. I’ve made four arrangements of ‘Be Thou My Vision’ ranging from very easy to advanced.
The first arrangement is with three chords and can be played by a new guitarist. Each arrangment adds new chords and more elaborate strumming or finger picking. It’s the newest addition to the Online Streaming Videos. You can find the arrangements available with the other Online Streaming Videos. There is also an option to purchase the arrangements on DVD.
‘Be Thou My Vision’ is towards the bottom of the Streaming Videos page.

Once again God is good all the time. I am truly enjoying my guitar training through your teaching. I played a melody that I composed using the chords which I learned on the CD I. They are A, G, D7, Em chords. I called it Sitting on the Porch. I played this melody in 3/4 time using a down, down, up down pattern. I had an audience at my dads funeral. However before then I reached out to build more confidence prior to this event. I joined the church choir at First Baptist for about six months.
I also took a class at the Community College to see how much of my knowledge I was retaining. I passed the class.
Sense, I have gotten more inspired to challenge myself with an insturctor at the Austin School of Music.
I am happy that I made this move everything is beginning to pull into one big circle of the Love and beauty of the Acoustic Guitar. I really enjoy playing.
Thank you for your Cousres,
