The Worship Guitar Class for Kids program is done and ready to help kids worship our God with a guitar in their hands. Here is a 7 1/2 min. excerpt of the first lesson.

How is this program different than the other kid’s program? It has all Christ-centered worship songs. The only song in common is ‘This Little Light of Mine.’
This new program has 9 lessons, instead of 7, and I replaced the finger exercises with actual little worship songs to pluck individual notes, that help to strengthen their little fingers. This is in lessons 2 & 3.
The first 3 lessons are one finger chords and one note at a time melodies. Lesson 4 introduces the D and A7 chords which require 2 and 3 fingers to hold down. I had received feedback that the previous program moved too fast.
The ‘Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class for Kids’ has practice sessions that all start with prayer. I wrote most of the songs and they are based around Christian values. The songs are ‘Thank You Father,’ ‘Pray Without Ceasing,’ ‘How do I Love My Neighbor?, and more.
One of the songs, “I Worship You Lord,’ was written by Rachel Webb at age 6. It’s from the 2006 worship contest. I thought it would be particularly special to the kids. I’m hoping they will be inspired by Rachel to write their own songs.
Puppets appear at the beginning and end of the DVD. Thanks to Pastor Gerald Mittman and his friends. Pastor Gerald is a Children’s Pastor and he thought up the skits. The DVD ends with a gospel presentation and invitation. He tied it in with being in ‘tune’ with God through Jesus Christ.
Oh, there is also a bonus gift for the first 50 orders. It’s Paulie Heath’s CD ‘Innocent Eyes.’ which includes her song ‘Make Me Pure.’ This is the song from the 2006 worship contest. Paulie was ministering in California last summer and I purchased these CD’s to support her ministry and to bless you too.

Hello,
We loved the old version of Kids Worship Guitar. It went at a delightful speed in which it was very easy to keep up with therefor instilling confidence with each lesson rather then discuragment. We really liked the fact that the songs were not worldly and that the kids new most of them. We have non reading older boys who are trying to learn to play with this program, and the fact that the songs were all familar was very helpful. Our version of the orginal Kids Worship Guitar has been lent out (and never came back) so we may have to purshase the old and new to make sure that (for my boys) the fact that the songs will not be familar to them will not discourage them. It will be difficult for them to try to play something they don’t know and can’t read. We are looking forward to being able to compair them side to side, and to see if your new version will be as succesful as your orginal one. I’m sure it will be as you have done such a wonderful job on all of your instuctional guitar classes.
Thank you for providing us with this service. We are a homeschooling family who could not afford personal music lessons, nor would not want to, as the music taught in these classes are not something we would want our children to be exposed to.
Again thanks so much for all your hard work!
Charlotte

Thanks Charlotte! I guess it was just one music minister in New York that mentioned to me that for his class of 7-year olds he thought the old version moved too quickly.
There were other emails with comments like yours that the program was perfect for them.
Anyway, I think you’re family will really enjoy the new one. You should have seen Abigail’s, the student in the lessons, face light up when she learned ‘How do I love my Neighbor.’It has a really fun strum and bass run.
Her Dad told me that he heard her singing some of the songs around the house. They are easy to learn, and with the practice sessions set up to use, they will be especially easy to remember.
Blessings in HIM,
Jean

Jan, looks like he is no longer there. The only contact information I have for him is at the church. You might call them.
